NEC South Sudan Participates in Education in Emergencies Podcast

On Monday, 27 July 2026, the National Education Coalition (NEC) South Sudan proudly participated in the “Learning Under Crisis – Community Voices from African Countries on Education in Emergencies” podcast, represented by Ms. Yolanda. The podcast brought together education stakeholders to discuss the realities of education in crisis-affected contexts and highlight community-driven solutions across Africa.
During the discussion, Ms. Yolanda shared South Sudan’s experiences and perspectives on the challenges affecting access to quality education, including conflict, displacement, economic hardship, and their impact on learners, teachers, and communities. She also emphasized the critical role that communities, civil society organizations, teachers, and parents continue to play in ensuring that learning continues despite these challenges.

The podcast further explored the importance of translating evidence into policy by advocating for increased investment in Education in Emergencies (EiE), stronger support for teachers, inclusive education systems, community participation, and sustainable financing to ensure that every child can access quality education, even during times of crisis.

NEC South Sudan remains committed to advancing inclusive, equitable, and resilient education systems through advocacy, collaboration, and amplifying the voices of communities affected by emergencies. We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to this important regional conversation and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that no learner is left behind.
