Today the 11th, the National Education Coalition (NEC) was represented by Dr. Ador Riak Nyiel, National Coordinator, at the launch of the “Africa Educates Her” Campaign, under the theme “Keep Girls in School, Empower Their Futures.”The campaign was organized by the Ministry of General Education and Instruction, Republic of South Sudan, in collaboration with development partners and civil society organizations.In his remarks on behalf of the National Education Coalition South Sudan, Dr. Ador emphasized the importance of protecting and promoting girls’ right to education, noting:
“When a girl is denied education, injustice is committed not only against her, but against her family, her community, and the nation South Sudan.”
He further highlighted that the Government has the primary duty to protect and fulfill the right to education by ensuring that education is accessible, inclusive, safe, and properly funded.
NEC remains committed to continuous stakeholder engagement and collective action to advance inclusive, equitable, and quality education for every child in South Sudan.
